What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Web site:
We collect your names, e-mail addresses and member numbers. This data is collected to allow club members access to private pages on the website.
Accounting System:
For some members our online accounting system (Reckon), which is used to track member subscriptions, bookings and payment of credits may hold the bank account details and/or mailing address where supplied to allow re-imbursement to a member. This information is used by approved members of the Committee for payment and bank authorisation purposes.
Online Booking System:
The online booking system contains the following information for each member and also any nominated double/family.
Name, Gender, Member number, Joining date, Email, Phone Number(s), Address, Member category, Priority points and Date of Birth (DoB is only captured for members children to assist the Membership Secretary to correctly classify Member class)
This data is collected to allow club members access to the booking system and is the clubs official Register of Members as required by the Club Rules.
A copy of the booking system data is encrypted and stored on our hosted web site platform for historical tracking of changes in our membership and also as a backup if we need to reload the online booking system.
Dropbox:
A subset of the membership information in the booking system (Name, Membership Number and Priority Points) is stored in dropbox along with Members refundable deposit information (if applicable) as our official record of Members current priority points and how they were accumulated, and as our official record of any refundable deposit owed to members on their resignation.
Cookies
Web Site:
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Booking System:
The booking service uses a session cookie for logins, which is discarded when you close your browser and does not hold any personal information.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
When you submit personal information to Apira Ski Club by filling out any online enquiry forms or emails, the requests are directly sent to our personnel.
All personal information received is retained for Apira Ski Club to fulfil the request being made. Unless required by applicable government legislation, we require your express permission to disclose your information to a third party.
How long we retain your data
For users registered on our website and booking system, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see or edit their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see, edit and delete that information. Registered user information is retained indefinitely. The information will only be removed from the site if requested by a member or when the member resigns.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Apira Ski Club does not send any user data outside of our site.

How we protect your data
Information that you share on the website and booking system is kept strictly confidential and fully secure. Your encrypted (encoded) information is protected using “Secure Socket Layers (SSL)” as it passes between your browser and this website/booking system. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.
No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Only authorized persons are permitted to access your personal information. All authorized persons must abide by security, privacy, and confidentiality agreements, rules and laws.
